General Summary:
The Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Developer supports enterprise reporting, data modeling, analytics, and business application development across the organization. This role partners closely with Finance and operational departments to deliver scalable reporting solutions, integrated data models, and actionable business insights. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the organization’s analytics environment, including Power BI semantic models, data integration workflows, reporting infrastructure, KPI development, and connected business applications. The role supports data architecture, automation, and reporting processes across ERP systems, SharePoint, and operational platforms including Safety, Human Resources, Fleet, Labor Forecasting, and Productivity systems.
Success in this role includes delivering accurate and trusted reporting, improving data accessibility, reducing manual processes through automation, and supporting business decision-making through reliable analytics and scalable reporting solutions. This position reports to the Finance Director.
Preferred Job Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to process, validate, and reconcile high volumes of data accurately while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Able to maintain a professional, customer-service-oriented attitude under pressure.
- Strong technical skills across Microsoft technologies including Power BI, Power Query, PowerApps, Excel, DAX, PowerFX, M Code, and VBA.
- Proficiency in SQL for relational data querying and transformation; working knowledge of Python for automation and scripting preferred.
- Experience designing and maintaining semantic data models, ETL/ELT workflows, relational data structures, and centralized reporting environments.
- Experience working with multi-source enterprise data environments and integrating structured and semi-structured data sources.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused insights for operational and leadership teams.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business, customer, or employee information.
- Ability to travel as business needs require.

Responsibilities: .
Data Modeling & Integration
- Own, maintain, and improve the organization’s Power BI semantic data models, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Design and manage data integration workflows across ERP systems, SharePoint, and operational platforms to support centralized reporting and analytics.
- Build and maintain KPIs, DAX measures, transformation logic, and ETL/ELT workflows to support accurate and scalable reporting.
- Develop and maintain data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity and alignment with source systems.
- Support the evolution of enterprise reporting architecture, including source mappings, data flows, and reporting infrastructure.
Reporting & Analytics
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to leadership and operational teams.
- Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests by translating business requirements into structured data solutions and visualizations.
- Maintain and enhance KPI reporting and leadership dashboards to align with evolving business needs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data refreshes, integrations, and reporting pipelines to resolve performance or data quality issues.
Application Development & Business Automation
- Develop and maintain business applications using Microsoft PowerApps and related Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Build automated workflows using Power Automate and related tools to improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and enhance data accessibility.
- Partner with department leaders and end users to gather requirements, develop solutions, and improve operational workflows.
Data Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and maintain data standards, documentation, naming conventions, and reporting governance practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies related to data access, security, privacy, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automate manual processes, and enhance data accessibility across the organization.
- Support implementation of new data connections, reporting capabilities, and analytics tools to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, IT, and department leaders to support cross-functional reporting and analytics initiatives.
Position Requirements:
- License: Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company.
- Certification: None required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field required. Advanced coursework or certifications in business intelligence, data engineering, or software development preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data-focused development roles.
- Hands-on experience developing Power BI reports, semantic data models, DAX calculations, and enterprise reporting solutions.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, ETL/ELT concepts, and data integration workflows.
- Working knowledge of Python, PowerApps, Power Automate, or related automation technologies preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise operational reporting environments preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a climate-controlled office setting with varying degrees of stress and time pressure.
- Considerable amount of time making repetitive motions.
- Considerable amount of time sitting.
- Considerable amount of time using telephone and computer.
- Sounds and noise levels may be distracting or uncomfortable.
- This position requires approximately 10% travel as business needs dictate. Travel schedules may require flexibility, including occasional overnight stays.

- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead.
- Able to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
