Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst, Data Mapping for a contract-to-hire position with a Regional Health Insurance Provider located in Eagan, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
Pay range: $63 - $73 per hour
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support SaaS and platform-based initiatives with a focus on data mapping, API and file integrations, workflow design, and configuration analysis. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and implementation teams — translating complex operational and technical requirements into clear, actionable documentation. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in integration-driven environments and platform-based business processes within a complex healthcare payer setting.
Responsibilities Requirements & documentation
- Gather, document, analyze, and maintain business and system requirements across SaaS and integration initiatives
- Define workflows and document both business and technical requirements in support of solution design efforts
- Develop high-level business process flows, requirements documentation, and design artifacts for new initiatives
- Create and maintain integration artifacts, operational procedures, process flows, and reporting documentation
- Ensure requirements and workflow changes are clearly communicated and accessible for future enhancements
Data mapping & integrations
- Lead data mapping, API mapping, file format analysis, and cross-system data flow documentation
- Support API and file integration initiatives across enterprise platforms and vendor-hosted SaaS environments
- Analyze data flows and assist with cross-system integration design in partnership with solution architecture and development teams
- Support healthcare interoperability and enterprise API initiatives including EDI, FHIR, and HL7
Workflow design & SaaS support
- Define and design workflows for SaaS platform implementations and modernization efforts — note: this role does not perform system configuration directly
- Support operational process alignment and workflow design across enterprise business applications
- Analyze operational processes and identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement
- Support workflow automation and enterprise SaaS modernization initiatives across multiple business portfolios
Cross-functional & delivery support
- Partner with implementation teams, solution architects, development, QA, and vendors to support platform-driven initiatives
- Facilitate meetings and collaboration sessions across business, technical, and vendor stakeholders
- Identify test criteria and assist with testing new functionality, integrations, and workflow changes
- Support Agile delivery teams with implementation activities, testing coordination, and production support
- Assist with governance and operational alignment activities related to product enhancements and vendor upgrades
- Create reports and dashboards; provide training and operational support to end users where applicable
Qualifications - Experience in a healthcare payer or enterprise healthcare environment
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills
- Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms, integrations, and workflow-driven applications
- Demonstrated ability to define workflows, document technical and business requirements, and support solution design
- Experience with data mapping, API mapping, data flow analysis, and file format analysis
- Process mapping and workflow analysis experience across cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting enterprise APIs, cross-system integrations, and platform-based business processes
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Experience with SQL and reporting tools
- Familiarity with workflow automation platforms and enterprise business applications
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards: EDI, FHIR, HL7
- AWS knowledge and familiarity with cloud terminology preferred
- Local (Minnesota-based) candidates preferred; contract-to-hire
