Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Data Engineer III:
- Define and lead data engineering initiatives aligned to our client's business goals
- Architect and implement robust, scalable data systems and reusable data marts to support analytics and predictive modeling
- Own the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of data pipelines and telemetry systems
- Drive data modeling using industry best practices to support initiative-level analytics needs
- Champion data quality, governance, and operational excellence; define and uphold SLA/SLOs for data services
Required Skills for Data Engineer III:
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture, with a history of leading complex, high-impact initiatives
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and big data frameworks such as Spark; experience with DBT, Airflow, and Databricks
- Deep knowledge of cloud data infrastructures (e.g., AWS, GCP) and tools (e.g., Redshift and BigQuery)
- Mastery of data modeling principles and experience designing scalable schemas
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
