IDR is seeking a Databricks Administrator to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves managing and optimizing Databricks environments within a cloud-based setting, supporting data analytics and reporting initiatives. The company operates within the data and cloud technology industry, focusing on innovative cloud solutions and enterprise data management.
Position Overview for the Databricks Administrator:
- Administrate and monitor Databricks reporting and conversion environments, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Manage workspace, user, and cluster administration on AWS for Databricks platforms
- Set up and maintain DevOps pipelines for Databricks components to streamline deployment and integration
- Collaborate with data and analytics teams to integrate Databricks with Power BI, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server
- Ensure compliance with governance, security best practices, and architecture standards in cloud environment
Requirements for the Databricks Administrator:
- Must have 2+ years experience in administrating Databricks environment
- Experienced in hands-on administration of Databricks, including workspace, user, and cluster management on AWS (classic compute)
- Experience in setting DevOps pipeline for Databricks components
- Proven ability to integrate Databricks with Power BI, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server, enabling streamlined data movement and business intelligence reporting
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud architecture, security best practices, and collaborative solution delivery with data and analytics teams
