Join our team as a ePMO Process Analyst! This is a fixed hybrid role on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at HQ in Maple Plain MN
The ePMO Process Analyst at Protolabs is an influential role that helps shape how the entire organization delivers strategic work. As a key member of the Enterprise Program Management Office, you will design, build, and evolve the Protolabs Delivery Framework (PDF), creating the processes, tools, and templates that drive consistent, transparent, and efficient execution across all projects and programs. You’ll also lead the configuration and administration of our portfolio and project management platform, ensuring it aligns with enterprise priorities and unlocks meaningful, data-driven insights. This role is perfect for someone who loves improving how teams work, thrives on solving complex problems, and is excited to play a central part in elevating delivery maturity and driving continuous improvement across Protolabs.
What You'll Do
Protolabs Delivery Framework Development - Design, document, and continuously improve the Protolabs Delivery Framework, outlining standardized processes for project and program management.
- Develop process flows, templates, and guidelines for:
- Project staffing and resource allocation
- Capacity and demand management
- Task list management and Gantt chart creation
- Risk and issue logging
- Project and program reporting (dashboards, scorecards, executive summaries)
- Ensure alignment of the framework with enterprise strategy, governance requirements, and best practices (Agile, hybrid, waterfall).
Knowledge Repository & Enablement - Create and maintain a company-wide knowledge repository to publish the Protolabs Delivery Framework, tools, templates, and training materials.
- Collaborate with the ePMO Director to promote adoption and continuous improvement of project management standards.
- Facilitate lessons-learned sessions and peer reviews of the Protolabs Delivery Framework to capture and share best practices.
Portfolio & Project Management Tool Administration - Serve as the administrator for the enterprise portfolio and project management (PPM) tool.
- Configure and optimize the tool to support Protolabs Delivery Framework processes, reporting needs, and integration with enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, finance).
- Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, and onboarding programs for new project and program managers.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and training to ensure effective tool usage and data quality.
Reporting & Performance Measurement - Develop and maintain standardized reporting templates and dashboards for project/program performance, risks, issues, and benefits realization.
- Support the ePMO Director in tracking key ePMO delivery metrics (on-time delivery, budget adherence, risk mitigation, benefits realization).
- Enable portfolio transparency and executive decision-making through robust data management and reporting.
Continuous Improvement & Capability Building - Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve tool functionality, and enhance project management maturity.
- Support the ePMO Director in building a cross-functional Project Management Community of Practice, including training, mentoring, and certification initiatives.
What It Takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing process documentation, templates, and knowledge repositories.
- Hands-on experience administering and configuring PPM tools (e.g., Asana, Planview, Smartsheet, Project Online, Jira Align, or similar).
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical and process design skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
- Ability to train and support users with varying levels of project management experience.
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to problem-solving.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
