IDR is seeking a Mainframe Tech Lead to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Malvern, PA. The position offers an engaging environment for experienced mainframe professionals to lead high-impact projects.
Position Overview for the Mainframe Tech Lead:
- Lead high-level development, system design, and modernization of mainframe applications including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and IMS.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and ensure best practices are followed across projects.
- Monitor system performance, optimize resources, and support the resolution of complex production incidents.
- Guide Agile teams, manage project scope and schedules, and coordinate with stakeholders for requirements.
- Architect, design, and develop scalable mainframe solutions with a focus on performance, quality, and maintainability.
Requirements for the Mainframe Tech Lead:
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of z/OS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS, REXX, SQL, and debugging tools like Xpediter or File-Aid.
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience in mainframe development, including at least 1-2 years in a lead role.
