IDR is seeking a Senior Structured Cabling Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in New York. This role is ideal for a skilled technical professional with project management experience, focusing on data center and structured cabling projects within a corporate environment.
Position Overview for the Senior Structured Cabling Engineer:
- Responsible for overseeing large-scale decommissioning and implementation phases of structured cabling projects in a data center or corporate setting
- Combine hands-on engineering expertise with project management skills to ensure successful project delivery
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Coordinate onsite activities at the client’s NYC location at least four days per week
- Support the installation of new technology, cabling, desktops, and related infrastructure
Requirements for the Senior Structured Cabling Engineer:
- Experience with large data center projects, decommissioning, or tech refresh initiatives
- Strong background in structured cabling and technical engineering with some project management exposure
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Hands-on experience in building or maintaining cabling infrastructure in corporate environments
- At least 4 days per week on-site availability in NYC
