IDR is seeking a VMware and Linux Administrator to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Suwanee, Georgia. This role involves managing enterprise VMware and Linux environments within a company specializing in IT infrastructure services.
Position Overview for the VMware and Linux Administrator:
- Manage and maintain the VMware infrastructure, including VM provisioning, patches, tuning, and upgrades.
- Provide expert guidance and technical support for Linux system administration.
- Monitor system performance proactively to prevent issues and ensure system resilience.
- Collaborate with technical teams to maintain system integrity and operational stability.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise storage and virtualization environments.
Requirements for the VMware and Linux Administrator:
- 5 to 7 years of VMware vSphere with vSAN operations experience.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on enterprise storage management experience.
- Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite preferred.
- Recent experience with NetApp FAS/AFF hardware arrays, Infrastructure Insights, and Storage Workload Security.
