IDR is seeking a Windows Server Administrator to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Suwanee, GA. This organization operates within the education sector, supporting a large school district with enterprise-grade IT infrastructure. The role offers a long-term contract with potential for renewal, focusing on maintaining and optimizing server environments.
Position Overview for the Windows Server Administrator:
- Manage and support physical and virtual servers within a large enterprise environment.
- Perform server maintenance, troubleshooting, and system updates to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with a team of Windows Server administrators to implement security and disaster recovery measures.
- Assist with scripting automation and scripting in PowerShell to streamline workflows.
- Maintain expertise in storage, networking, and virtualization technologies to support infrastructure needs.
Requirements for the Windows Server Administrator:
- 5-7 years’ experience in Windows server administration in a SERVER environment (specifically server-side, not operating systems)
- Experience with Scripting in PowerShell
- Experience with virtual AND physical servers
- Experience with SQL clustering
- Experience with VMware and Hyper-V
